If communication is the key to success, the essential skills of listening and speaking are the tools that we must all develop! And, it's 'effective' communication that we should aim for, which embraces both the time taken to listen to what is being said and processing it before we reply!
Woven into the fabric of our learning experiences are the essential skills for life of which 'speaking' plays a prominent role!
From working in small groups, voicing instructions to guide their 'robots', to chanting 'Robot, robot, go, go, go, follow your algorithm, don't be slow!', the children who take part in our coding adventures are encouraged to be effective listeners and active speakers.
