We love attending career fairs!
It's great to be able to talk directly to students and young adults about how they see their futures and also open their minds to possible careers in STEM. It's particularly rewarding when we meet girls who haven't considered that they have a future in tech. Being champions for inclusively inspiring everyone into the science and tech industries, we acknowledge that there is still so much more to be done, but we're delighted to have these types of opportunities to spread the message directly to those who could well be our tech innovators of the future!
Thank you to Farnborough International for inviting us to be part of the careers fair at the Sustainable Skies World Summit 2025 and for also extending the invitation for our very own 'Professor' Trice to directly address a room of students with insights to her career in technology.
The focus was to also encourage the students to see their role in making a positive environmental impact on sustainable transport and reducing CO2 emissions. Through our secondary schools Net Zero Coding Adventure they can explore these topics on a journey through ethical AI, data science, and ‘tech for good’ – including coding to make a difference, and then use the data to create persuasive writing, posters and presentations to actually convince others how best to get involved!
You can find more on this by visiting https://www.getwiththeprogram.org.uk/net-zero where you can also sign up your school or organisation to take part this June for a FREE coding adventure as part of our fully funded Bupa Coding Days programme.
