Celebrating Grace Hopper

We are always keen to learn about pioneers in STEM-based careers and champion the under-represented! And so, we'd like to shine a spotlight on Grace Hopper, 1906-1992, American Computer Scientist, Mathematician, and United States Navy Rear Admiral.

Grace Hopper was the first to devise the theory of machine-independent learning and created the theory behind a programming language known today as COBOL. This transformed source code into computer language effectively leading to programming being opened up to the masses.

Furthermore, Hopper is famed with coining the term 'computer bug'!
