Behind every coding adventure, school visit and event stand, alongside our team, are volunteers giving their time, energy and enthusiasm to help us inclusively inspire the next generation.

Some join us as STEM Ambassadors through the STEM Learning network, sharing their knowledge and experience. Others simply want to support their local schools, while many come from companies that have sponsored our coding adventures and want to turn that support into meaningful community impact. And some families get involved too, just like the Harrison-Smiths, when most of the family were able to support us recently at DSET, at Cheltenham Racecourse, alongside the wonderful Kathie Bowden, Melanie D'Mellow and Ieuen Weston-Hall.
Whether they’re helping a child write their first lines of code, encouraging a young person to see themselves as a future tech innovator, asking someone to nominate a school, or bringing our activities to life at an event, every volunteer makes a difference.
It’s also a wonderfully fulfilling and rewarding way to give back. You give your time, but in return you get to experience the excitement, curiosity and confidence of the young people you’re helping to inspire.
Want to get involved?
We’d love to welcome more volunteers to our community, with or without programming experience. Whether you’re a STEM professional, STEM Ambassador, part of a sponsoring company, or simply someone who wants to make a difference, there’s a place for you.

Together, we can help young people discover that technology isn’t just something they use — it’s something they can create, shape and be part of.
