I'm so incredibly proud of how Get with the Program has grown in 2023 and, as the year draws to a close, I'm taking a moment to reflect and share our successes.
✨ Our Bupa sponsored Coding Days have grown in strength of numbers of schools running these free sessions and our volunteer base of Bupa staff, and others, who kindly offer their time to help in the schools. We're delighted that Bupa continue to support us and we're working towards the next Bupa Caoding Day, 13th March 2024
✨ You may have already seen that we've been shortlisted as finalists for a Learning Excellence Award however, we've just recently heard that we've been nominated for not one, but two awards!
✨ 2023 has seen us design, create, record, and launch a new coding activity focused on making running our virtual sessions even easier! 'Program Yourself' puts the children in the role of 'robot' carrying out tasks in the program that they follow by watching the 'Professor' on screen.
✨ And speaking of robots, we're currently working on new coding adventures for KS2, years 5 & 6, with a real-life automated AL the Robot 2.0!
✨ None of this would have been possible without the support and dedication of the amazing Get with the Program team. We have grown in numbers, pulled together our collective strengths, and have achieved so much this year. You are all awesome!
And to all our followers, thank you for being part of our 2023 story, I'm looking back with huge gratitude on a fabulous year and forwards to the next, which holds so much potential for being even better! 💫
