The Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport reported earlier this year that, ‘over 80% of all jobs advertised in the UK now require digital skills, however employers say the lack of available talent is the single biggest factor holding back growth. Estimates suggest the digital skills gap costs the UK economy as much as £63 billion a year in potential GDP.’
Promoting STEM learning and education at Primary level is key for the sustained growth in the skills needed to plug this gap. And we’re delighted to reveal that the Schroders’ Global Technology team are supporting Get with the Program to help develop this new tech community through learning events with school children.
Stay tuned for our first event as part of World Space Week this October. If you’d like to join our mission to inspire the tech innovators of the future, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or find out more www.getwiththeprogram.org.uk/sponsor
