An Inspiring Week

What an inspiring few days it’s been ✨

🌍 ✈️ On Tuesday and Wednesday, we were delighted to be at the Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre for the Sustainable Skies World Summit. It was fantastic to hear such thought-provoking conversations around sustainability in aviation, as well as connect with organisations interested in our Net Zero Coding Adventure. We also loved sharing more about our Civil Aviation Authority Reach for the Sky grant and the impact it’s helping us create.

👩‍💼 🤲 Wednesday evening brought more brilliant conversations at the International Women’s Day 'Give to Gain' event, hosted by Thoughtworks and Amazon Web Services (as a collective of their AWS Cloud Women, She Builds and Ladies that Launch initiatives). True to the spirit of the evening, the room was full of energy, generosity, and meaningful connections.

🏆 💃 We wrapped up the week in style at the everywoman in Tech Awards, held at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London. It was a truly special evening celebrating the incredible achievements of women in tech. We were especially pleased to have so many friends and connections attending and in the shortlists, (including the lovely duo of Hana Abdi and Karen Medhat) and we were delighted to have two winners on our table! A massive well done to Rebecca Phelps and Chiamaka Okenwa, it was great to be a small part of the recognition of your success! An inspiring night surrounded by so many talented women in tech nominees and winners. Huge congratulations to everyone recognised, and of course to the very well deserved winners!

What a week! We’re excited to keep the momentum going, continuing conversations, building new connections, and meeting those we didn’t get the chance to speak with during the events.

If you’d like to connect, we’d love to hear from you. Feel free to connect to our CEO and Chief Coding Adventurer, Jeni Trice, drop us a DM or email us at getintouch@getwiththeprogram.org.uk

I’ve been struggling a bit with managing my deadlines and structuring my work properly, especially when it comes to academic tasks, so reading this made things a bit easier to understand. I think many students don’t realise how important proper planning and research is until they fall behind, and that’s where guidance really matters. I’ve also come across some support resources like Assignment Writing which can be useful when things get too overwhelming, but still it’s important to learn the basics like…
